About Lost in a Church

This piece is unique because it seeks to capture the state of mind of a man who goes alone to a church in a final attempt to organize his thoughts and worries. It is dedicated to Dale Clevenger (Principal Horn Chicago Symphony Orchestra 1966-2013).

Dale Clevenger had an overwhelming personality. He premiered many of my compositions, each time bringing something new to the interpretation. He gave me much advice on the horn and its extraordinary expressive possibilities.
