John Webb

Biography

The original trombamaniac, John Webb is a Londoner, trumpet maker, bass trombone and ophicleide player, ­publicity agent and brass instrument collector. Too, he's nuts about cats.

His collection of 300 brass instruments resides in Witshire at his trumpet ­workshop.

Alongside many articles on historic brass instruments, he has published "Town Cats" (Michael Joseph Ltd.) ­presenting views even more irreverent than the following ones about his fellow brass players.
